After 2 years playing with this kid. Ab came home from daycare a few months ago and announced ...

(His best friends name) is black and I am white. ( he just figures it out)

I said. Yeah dude that's right but that doesn't matter.  both of you are little boys just the same.

And he said. Yep! And we like to play tractors.

So I think as long as I instill that kind of attitude in him about other people he's going to turn out just fine.Regardless of what anyone else thinks about me.

Im sitting here watching him sleep and thinking about all the stuff I want to tell him but he's too young to understand.

..he will Know that's there's not one single thing he could ever say or do that would make me love him any less no matter what. But at the same time momma is boss until you can make it on your own.

Be a leader. Not a follower.

I want him to take people head on only when provoked to do so but not because of what they or what they hide behind  but because of WHO they are and know that he can't please everyone so don't even try. Some people are so unhappy with themselves that they will do anything for attention and in the end you lose too. You have to be happy with yourself before you can make other people happy and sometimes that's hard.
