I can deal with Lots of Stuff

I really can. I can deal with the weird doctor and all his zen crap but I can't not deal with getting screwed out of money that I just don't have right now.

I went this morning to get popped again. And let me just say that my back has never recovered this quick but he gives me this plan of how much the 12 month recovery is going to cost.

It's 42 visits over a year. Well my insurance only pays for 20 but it's late in the year so in Jan I get 20 more. So really I would only have to pay for 2 which is roughly 120 bucks. My xrays are paid at 100%.

Good deal. I can do that. But after looking at it more closely his insurance total only shows the 600 payment for the xrays. It does not reflect the 20 (which is like 16 now) visits per year. Plus the ones for next year. So I called back after I had time to check with the insurance company to make sure and I actually got to talk to him.

He turned into a jerk all the sudden. He basically acted like I was trying to cheat him out of something when it was completely the other way around. I was super nice and just asked if they could rerun it through the insurance because I think the insurance company made a mistake in what they approved and that they should pay for almost all of it. Then he gets all dicklick and says that he is giving me a 550 discount... well great that means because he is discounting it 550 he can screw me out of 2100 sorry dude not going to happen.

Basically when they file an insurance claim for $60 you pay a co-pay of say $30 the insurance company says well they paid 30 so we will give you $10 and you will like it. The dr has to settle with the insurance company not with the patient.

He was trying to do it the other way. Make me pay the difference. Can I just say that's illegal and I should totally report him. It's double billing. If he didn't like what my insurance pays then he shouldn't take it. I guess all his patients are dumb and just do it. I'm not sure.

I have an appointment next week but no. I'm going somewhere else. Kinda pisses me off that I sat through all the zen/tranquil load of bullshit. Guess I will have to find someone else to rake my zen garden.
