We have tons of birds here. Mostly red birds and finches but we also have about 6 or so hummingbirds. But there is one that is super mean. He hogs the feeder. If you sit and watch him he sits in a tree and waits.
Then an unsuspecting hungry hummingbird flies up and get a quick drink and before they know what hit them that damn bird flies out of the tree and chases them off then heads back to his perch in the tree to wait again.
But that's not the worst part. If you get close to the feeder, that little bastard flies out of the tree at YOU and you can hear him buzzzz by. Those wings go so fast it sounds like an airplane when he flies past your ear.
I swear he has been so close to my ear if I would have swatted at him I would have hit him.... yeah that would fix him.

LMAO_ we had one like that at my Mom's in the Mountains- we named him Billy Baddass cause man he guarded that thing like it was a Budweiser at a Nascar Race!~
I know of a kid who was filling the feeder and a Hummimgbird flew down so fast the kid actually got stabbed in the eye with his little beak! Not really- but wouldn't that be a cool story!!!

I love hummingbirds, but we don't have many around here!
I try to lure the hummingbirds to a feeder next to our house, but they're pretty scarce. Maybe I should consider myself lucky!
ALL of our hummingbirds are mean! They are amusing to watch though. If the little bastards weighed a pound, they'd rule the world!

I had no idea hummingbirds could be so agressive! Then again I have only seen like ONE in my whole life! :0)
